since July of 2004. He completed his Bachelor of Science in Human Physiology at
the University of California at Davis in 1993.Dr. Tay
received his MD at Eastern Virginia Medical School in 1998. He then came
back to California for his general surgery training at the UCSF-Fresno program.
He sub-specialized in Vascular and Endovascular Surgery by completing his
fellowship training at the University of Wisconsin at Madison.Dr. Tay is dual Board
Certified in General Surgery and Vascular Surgery, a Diplomate of the American
Board of Surgery and the Vascular Surgery Board of the American Board of
Surgery. Dr. Tay currently practices at Regional Medical Center of San Jose,
O’Connor Hospital, and Good Samaritan Hospital. He currently holds many
hospital positions including Chair of the Division of General Surgery as well

Medical Center of San Jose. He is a member of the endovascular committees at
both Regional Medical Center of San Jose and O’Connor Hospital. Dr. Tay’s
active involvement in the leadership of the San Jose area hospitals helps keep
him at the forefront of quality vascular and endovascular surgery care.Dr. Tay’s primary practice is
in Vascular and Endovascular Surgery which includes carotid procedures,
aneurysm procedures, and evaluation and treatment of arterial and venous
diseases.  He uses the latest technologies including catheter-based
minimally invasive approaches and open surgery when appropriate. Advanced
techniques are used such as endovascular stent-graft repair of abdominal aortic
aneurysms, carotid artery stenting, along with use of laser and advanced
devices for both peripheral arterial and venous diseases.

Paul Cipriano, MD Dr. Paul R. Cipriano is a cardiovascular  and interventional radiologist who directs
the angiography and non-invasive vascular labs at Sequoia
Hospital. His interests include cardiac and vascular diagnostic
studies and procedures (doppler/ultrasound, CT and MR angiography,
catheter angiography) and interventions (angioplasty, atherectomy,
stents, thrombolysis, aortic stent grafts, interventional oncology,
fibroid embolization and central venous lines and ports). Dr. Cipriano
received his undergraduate degree from Occidental College and his
medical training at Tulane University, Philadelphia General
Hospital—University of Pennsylvania, and the New York Hospital— Cornell
Medical Center. While on the faculty at Stanford University he was an
Andrew Mellon fellow and a James Picker Foundation Scholar in Diagnostic
Radiologic Research.  He has authored and co-authored 50
scientific articles and book chapters on  cardiac and vascular
disease and interventions.Dr. Cipriano is a fellow of the Society of Interventional
Radiology, the American Heart Association, the American College of
